The UFMG Graduate Program in History (PPGH-UFMG) was established in 1990, with the Master's Degree in History. The Doctorate program began ten years later, in 2000. The concepts of Tradition and Modernity mark the three research lines of the Program: Social History of Culture (HSC), History and Political Cultures (HCP), and Science and Culture in History (CCH).
